In Netflix’s hit Korean drama series Vincenzo, actor Song Joong-ki plays a lawyer who was adopted by an Italian mafia boss as a young boy. The show attempts to portray a blend of Korean and Italian culture. Song’s titular character dresses the part of a dapper gentleman, stepping out in well-tailored three-piece suits and stylish luxury watches to match. Throughout the series, Vincenzo seems to favour pairing his looks with sporty timepieces. Several chronographs from various brands were featured in the series, from contemporary to classic. Here’s a look at some of the most striking watches spotted on the show.

Zenith
One of the dressier timepieces Song wears in the show, the Zenith Chronomaster El Primero Open features some openwork details along with the El Primero’s iconic multi-hued dial. This chronograph reference is paired with a black leather strap.

Zenith launched the El Primero in 1969; at the time it was the first high frequency, fully integrated automatic chronograph movement. The watch’s appearance has been refined over the years and now includes references in a number of sizes, as well as ladies’ references with diamonds.
Breitling

The brand that seems to get the most screen time on this show is Breitling. We suspect Song himself is a fan of the brand since this isn’t the first time he has worn the brand on screen.
In his portrayal of a South Korean special forces soldier in the series Descendants of the Sun, where he co-starred with ex-wife Song Hye-kyo, the actor was seen wearing a Breitling Navitimer with his military attire.
The Breitling spotted in Vincenzo is the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46 in two-tone, featuring a gold bezel set against a stainless steel case and bracelet. The hands and hour markers are fashioned in the same gold tone as the bezel, giving the black dial pleasing visual depth.
In Descendants of the Sun, Song wears a leather strap version of the watch.

Hublot
Hublot watches have been spotted on his wrist, too, including the Classic Fusion Chronograph. Song wore a two-tone Chronograph Titanium King Gold version as well as a Chronograph King Gold reference with a grey strap, both in 45mm.

In Vincenzo, Song also wore a Hublot Big Bang Unico King Gold 45mm watch with a light grey pinstripe suit.
Tag Heuer
Another racing-inspired timepiece seen on the show is the Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 11.

The square watch features a blue dial and two white counters and is instantly recognisable as the watch Steve McQueen famously wore in the 1971 film Le Mans.
