At UFC 270, Ngannou will attempt to defend his heavyweight title held by the UFC.

The UFC has both positive and negative news to report for 2023.
The good news is that the heavyweight title will be on the line when Francis Ngannou faces Ciryl Gane on the promotion’s first pay-per-view card of the year. An incredible battle that can be considered a true and legitimate 50/50 pick ’em. In addition to that, the co-main event features a fight for the flyweight championship between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. They are going into their third competition and the two that came before it was both nail-biters.
The price of pay-per-views (PPVs) has recently increased, which is unfortunate. The UFC came to the conclusion that yet another price increase was warranted, and as a result, the cost was raised by an additional $5. Not very good.

In any case, it’s a great card overall, and the main event looks especially interesting. Can Francis Ngannou’s opponent, Ciryl Gane, neutralize the juggernaut power that Ngannou possesses with his deft footwork and technical striking, or will Ngannou be able to steamroll yet another heavyweight in a matter of minutes? It is truly up in the air which way it will go.
In my opinion, Gane will be knocked out at some point during the match. Stipe Miocic was able to exert control over Ngannou and wear him out in the first fight between them by wrestling with him. Gane does not possess that particular set of skills. He must essentially run the gauntlet and avoid getting hit for two rounds while competing against the most dangerous puncher in the history of the UFC. Given how effective Ngannou’s timing has been in the past against strikers with a higher level of technical proficiency, I anticipate that Gane will take some hard hits early on. Having said that, Gane did succeed in outclassing Derrick Lewis, who was probably the second-biggest puncher in the division.
No matter what happens, it’s going to be one hell of an exciting ride. Everything that you need to know is included below.
