Emma Chamberlain is conquering the online world in elegance. The popular Gen Z YouTuber and coffee aficionado turned entrepreneur has partnered with PacSun a second time for the brand’s Spring/ Summer 2022 campaign. Inspired by the new and hopes of escape, the collection features two distinct. First, the latest pieces picked from Emma herself are available to purchase. They include everything from swimming suits to knits. Also, Emma and PacSun are making their way into the online world in order to show the collection. We’re talking about Augmented Reality. (Well technically AR, VR live streaming as well as Pacsun’s debut gaming video.)
The brand’s new line debuted with a virtual reality adventure featuring Emma’s digital self within the metaverse. The launch culminated with the announcement of “Pacsun the Game,” in which players can experience underwater worlds with the 20-year-old fashion star and more.
Here, we sit down with Emma to discuss the inspiration behind the latest collection, her thoughts on metaphysical concepts, and what fashion means to her in the new stage of adulthood.
Teen Vogue: What was the source of inspiration for the collection?
Emma Chamberlain: The overall vibe in this line is easy and relaxed. There’s something for everyone with this selection. It reflects so many various trends, personality types, and fashions. There are bright and vibrant pieces, however, there are neutral items that are included, as well as certain glittery pieces too.
TV What made you choose to collaborate with PacSun to create another collection?
The EC My family and I used to shop at PacSun from the time I was in middle school until high school. It’s one of the most memorable parts of my early years. Today they’re stocked with amazing items I love and wear. For me, nostalgia is hard to resist. Anything with memories as PacSun does is hard to resist.

Television: Do you have any favorite TV shows of the time?
EC one of my favorite things PacSun creates is their cut-off sweatpants. It’s funny because, the last time I ran a campaign with PacSun and they allowed me to wear shorts with a sweatband at home, and they were tie-dye shorts. I’m not lying I’ve been wearing them almost every night from bed to bed since. They said, “Can we please give you a new pair?” They handed me this pink pair with the word PacSun on the butt and they’re my brand-new sleeping shorts.
TV Your style is popular and sought-after by Gen Z. Have you seen any changes since the first time you worked with PacSun?
E: Very recently, I’ve changed my perspective on fashion. I used to do more outrageous styles. However, lately, I’ve been trying to simplify my style and tend to lean towards a more fashionable one. I’ve been sporting a lot of furs and other things similar to make the preppy look fun in my own unique way.
