The first few days of learning about RiMS Racing can see you crash and knock your rider off the bike many times more than you can recall. It’s incredibly frustrating and can leave you wanting to quit the sport. But, there are a few ways to prevent getting on your bikes and to start enjoying the sport more.
The gravel and sand are the most deadly of traps.
It is best to stay away from the track when you can assist it. When gravel or grass are present, it’s more beneficial to remain on your track and crash into a barrier as the death animation is faster than if your spin out and be watching your rider and their bike disappear from view. If you are approaching a corner and you see yourself near gravel or grass then give up and realize that you’re in danger of falling off. The only way to save yourself is to continue driving straight and back on track.
Other riders are out there to harm you.
If you’re near the front of the race, try to get out of the way as fast as you can. If you do happen to touch another’s bike, you will be the one to pay for the offense. There’s a reason why the game’s AI isn’t able to be able to recognize you, so when you are in its path or get close to it there’s a 99 percent chance it’ll hit you, brake until that it rams you or slam you towards the side. In any case you’ll be thrown from your bicycle. Be aware of the gaps that riders leave when trying to pass. This is the best opportunities to take over if you’re able to overtake them all through on a straight track.
Twitch around corners
Corners can be very difficult in this sport. The best method to tackle these is to stay with the speed that the arrows on the track will be telling you to follow and take corners with what seems as if you’re moving at a snail’s pace. Accelerate and brake in rapid intervals to tighten your turn, and gradually accelerate after a corner to ensure you don’t spin out.
Accelerate slowly
It’s very tempting to push the button to the fullest extent when you’ve come out of an intersection or seeing some straight road. If you do that however your bike might go out of control and take your rider along. Therefore, it is better to adjust your pull to gently pulling the trigger to increase the speed of your bike without causing it throw it forwards from underneath the rider. This is crucially important following turns or long periods of slow speed because the vast change in revs could result in devastating effects.
Don’t be an idiot!
The last suggestion might appear like a joke but it’s actually not. Don’t attempt to make a turn at high speeds, and don’t try to take over lawn, and do not attempt to perform anything you would perform in Forza Horizon 4. This is a motorcycle racing simulation. If you attempt to pull any of the above, it’ll cause your bike to crash and send you and your driver to opposite sides of the course. A few seconds of skipping corners or jumping small amounts on bumps that are that isn’t on the track will cost you precious time and leave you feeling as dumb as the ragdoll’s rider appears.
