Who needs Black Friday?
Prime Day, Amazon’s shopping extravaganza that first launched in 2015 to mark the 20th anniversary of the online retailer’s premium subscription service, Amazon Prime, is back.
The Olympics of online shopping — taking place over two days, this Tuesday and Wednesday, despite still being called a “day’ — offers shoppers around the world access to discounts up to 79% off across all categories, including electronics, devices, toys, beauty, fashion and home.
In the U.S., the shopaholic’s dream day kicked off Tuesday at 3 a.m. ET.
“Prime members deserve the best, and that’s exactly what we’re giving them — deals with epic savings across every category this Prime Day,” Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in a statement.
According to Amazon, deals will keep dropping throughout its 48-hour event and they are exclusive to Prime members — or those who pay a monthly membership fee of $14.99, or $139 for the year. A 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime is also available.
Quantities are limited and some discounted items sell out pretty quickly. Here’s a look at some of the hottest deals you can still score.
