Cruella de Vil might not spark a lot of moral inspiration (or, you know, any), but when it comes to Emma Stone’s rendition of the classic character, the hair goals are real. Between her signature dual-toned look and the bright red hue she rocks at different parts of the upcoming Disney film, you might find your fingers itching for the hair dye. Thanks to the color conditioning wizards at oVertone, you can get your Cruella hair fix—temporarily.
The company behind those popular rose gold for brown hair kits recently released a limited-edition line of four Cruella-themed color conditioner kits, each inspired by a character in the live-action Disney adaptation. First up is obviously the Black, White, & Wicked Conditioner Kit ($68), which will help you get Cruella’s signature split-toned look. The package includes one 8-oz Rich Black Coloring Conditioner, one 8-oz Remedy Colorless Hair Mask, and one 8-oz Purple Toning Conditioner, and is best used on light to platinum blonde hair (to really get that black-and-white contrast).
The Rebel Red Conditioner Kit ($58) contains two 8-oz Coloring Conditioners in shades Extreme Red and Chocolate Brown. When mixed together, you’ll find yourself with crimson hair à la Emma Stone’s Estella.
Inspired by Anita Darling (portrayed in Cruella by Kirby Howell-Baptiste), the Breaking News Brown Conditioner Kit ($58) comes with two 8-oz Coloring Conditioners in Espresso Brown and Rich Black, both of which are perfect for medium blonde to medium brown hair. And if you find yourself yearning for a silvery blonde like Artie (played by John McCrea), oVertone’s Posh Platinum Conditioner Kit ($68) will have you covered. The collection contains one 8-oz Pastel Silver Coloring Conditioner, an 8-oz Remedy for Fine Hair Colorless Hair Mask, and an 8-oz Purple Toning Conditioner to help blondes achieve that shimmery platinum glow.
For the uninitiated, oVertone conditioners are semi-permanent pigmented conditioners, meaning they don’t contain some of the harsh chemicals found in traditional dyes and won’t damage your hair the way a permanent hair dye might. The conditioners are all scented with rosemary and spearmint essential oils, and come in a rainbow of colors, from Extreme Yellow to Rich Black. Some of the lighter colors will only work on pre-lightened or blonde hair, but they also have a line of conditioners designed specifically for brunettes.
Disney’s Cruella hits theaters and Disney+ (with Premier Access) on May 28. You can shop oVertone’s de Vil-inspired kits below—no pups were harmed in the making of these beauties!
